Help! Need emergency advice on how to remove tape slots of W202 C Class by Thursday

I am getting some gauges installed for my turbo on my W202 C Class on Thursday and would like directions on how to remove the tape slots because thats where it will be installed. I would like to show the shop how to remove the slots instead of removing my entire console like they want to do. Please help because work to be performed on Thursady. Thank you VERY much!
