Torque Specification For Rear Flange Nut On 722.6 Transmission
Hello All!!
I have a 1999 S500 that needs a new rear transmission seal. I have replaced the seal but I am in need of the specification in which to torque the nut to. Any info would be greatly appreciated!!

I see 120 NM for "twelve-point collared nut, three-arm flange to output shaft" if that's the one.

Sorry for bring back this old threat, but even after searching the forum I can't find an answer to my question.
As I'm changing the front flex disk on the 722.6 (On a 1997 S500), I have notices a leak from the rear output shaft. What is the size of the 12 point collar nut? The shaft is sticking out and I cant get my caliper in the area. Is it 27mm? Is a regular metric deep socket able to loosen / tighten this nut? And one more question: What is the part number of the seal around the output shaft> Thank you advance! M#. |
