Rear Break Light Stays On. 2001 CLK 320

Don't know if anyone has had this problem or not but when I turn on my night time lights my right taillight also turns on the brake light. I first thought it was the bulb but it's not. Could it be that wires are hittin' or something? I'm the last person to know anything about a car. But I changed the bulbs and still nothing. ideas?

Seems like I see a lot of W210's with this problem...not sure what would cause it, but I'm guessing it's something electronic and expensive.

After thinkin' about it.. I hope it's just the stop lamp switch. If not I fear you may be correct about expensive.
