2005 C230 kompressor, thermostat location
 

Hello, I need to replace the thermostat on my 05 c230, I figured it be located where the upper raditor hose goes into the engine, will its not. Can someone please point out to me it's location.

That's where it is on mine but mine is a '98 not a '05 so I can't say. Did you look there?

Yes, I pulled the upper raditor hose and looked, just a big opening, no thermostat. Unless it was removed by dealer?

I tried to look up that part but no one has a photo of it. You can look up the one for my car and see if it looks the same. You replace the whole housing and the t-stat is at a right angle to the opening (on mine anyway) so you might not see it. So if your hose attaches to a thing that is attached with 3 screws then that is probably it.

I found it....I removed the housing and there it was. Thanks for your help.
