E220 petrol

hi, I have a 1996 model E220 petrol mercedese. lately the RPM is behaving eratically. Sometimes when i slow down the car the RPM goes down and the car stops and i have to restart the car. i have gone to the mercedese authorised garage but they cannot identify the problem.

First thing to do is to check for error codes on pin 8, and post the codes here. Have you changed wiring harness ? If not that is the first thing to do, before throwing parts at your car.

Mercedes authorized garage in this part of the world is a painful joke :D

Is the ABS lamp coming ON ??

Wire harness issues were not on '96 year models.

Most W124's sold in India are manufactured in 1995 and sold in 1996. I own one of these and it has harness issue.
