1985 230Se Euro hot stall issue

Trying to help someone out - 1985 230se Euro -Starts good, runs till temp gauge reaches 80 C and stalls,
wait and it will restart. 255,000K on the clock
put in new fuel pump but sounds like it struggles when 80C is reached or it if it sits as idle ( after temp is reached) Will restart with coaxing. All fuel lines cleaned, filters cleaned, tried running without gas cap, no help- any ideas?

Never heard of a 4cyl in a "S" class. Got a chassis number?
