"Ozone" smell from underside of car
 

Hi Everyone,

We've just noticed a very strong smell coming from the underside of the 2000 E320 Wagon - it smells like when you solder plumbing - that smell of ozone. I coudn't smell it in the tailpipe, but could smell it on the sides of the car. Any ideas?

Check to see if there's a plastic bag stuck to the exhaust system. Happens all the time. :)

Or leave it alone...and do your part in the "green" effort by replenishing the ozone in the environment! ;)

This makes a lot of sense. She drove the car to work this morning, some 30 miles, and there was no odd smell when she got there. I hope it was as easy as that.
