C240 Wagon Rear Wiper Spray Woes

A co-worker of my wife has a 2003 C240 wagon and he has been having problems with the rear wiper spray system. Apparently, he has had it into the dealer five times without resolution. The dealer has replaced the pump but it still doesn't work right. Has anyone had similar problems?
