Does my car need ginko?

Yeah I know. I did the requisite search but nothing I found quite approximated my problem. Seat memories; '89 300se. My car has amnesia bilaterally. When I set the memories they hold while the car is running and for about 30 minutes after the car is shut off. After that they are gone. The passenger side goes first then the driver's settings go away too. The seats otherwise work flawlessly.

I am an old VW mechanic and find the mercedes a needlessly complicated car. My 300se is in its inimical way convincing me to resurrect my old volvo diesel from its resting spot in the back yard.

Now if I can only find that swedish brick beneath its mound of kudzu.

Man I am with you on that!!!

I think my Super Beetle's entire wiring harness is less complicated than say, my 300E's license plate light wiring!

Fortunately the forum members here narrow down the problems I post on this site. If something went wrong with the Bug, it would probably come down to one or two things, not fifteen possibilities!

I just leisurely hop from one problem to another...just completed the alternator swap on the 300E, only to discover that the Hella fog light kit I just installed on the ML today is blowing fuses!!!

Is there no end!!!!

if it turns out it's your seat comps i've got two sitting on my shelf here that i'd sell extremely reasonably. I got them with two newer model seats that i put into my 83 300SD. the seats came out of a 88-91 W126. I'm not positive if they work or not, but like i said i'd let them go very reasonably as i have no need for them whatsoever. The fact that both of your seats are acting up makes me leary to think its the computers though.
