Plastic trim on roof

Good PM,
I have a problem with my 96 C220. The plastic trim that runs the length of the roof is coming loose. I have to keep pushing it down.
Can anyone give me some info on how this trim is affixed.
I looked under the trim and looked like someone put foam tape under there. That can't be!
Also a the anti whak trim along my right rear door is getting loose. Any ideas? Please!
