Side Mirrors
 

Hi guys,

Car in question is a 1996 E320. 144 k km.

My side mirror covers keep falling off. I push them in, and they seem to click in, but over a couple of days of vibration they just fall off again.

Any tips or hints ?

There is a one piece, large U-shaped metal clip on the mirror assembly that provides the two spring contacts that holds the mirror shell onto the assembly. The clip may have moved off of the pin that holds it in place. If so, pushing it back into postion may solve the loose shell problem.
