W124 inop RR Window Help
So, a 1992 300e 2.6. RR power window does not respond to either switch, on the door or from the center console. No noise at all. Got the door panel off expecting a broken regulator or bad motor. Took leads from motor, hooked to 12v, up and down with no problems at all? All other windows are fine. What am I looking at here, broken wiring somewhere, fuse to check? I figured all windows would be on one fuse, but maybe not? Both switches bad possibly?

Check the wiring as it passes through the door, all my 1991 wires were broken. A little 16 guage wire, a soldering iron and some shrink wrap and I was back in business in no time.
You need to remove the B pillar to pull the wires... there is a lot of info in the forums about this. |
Hold the button down while opening/closing the door, silversleeves is likely correct.

X3 what silversleeves said. It is a common problem on the 124 rear doors.

Thanks guys, I'll check it out. They may be a lot of info on it, but when I searched, I mostly came up with bad regulators. Apparently they are very fragile. Hopefully it is an easy to find wire, much cheaper to fix. Thanks again.

first swap a working switch with one of the switches that's not working ;)
