Help for my 300E Steering
Hello, I am new to forums. I have a 1991 300E. I have noticed recently that the steering is able to achieve full 'lock' on the right side, with about 2 1/4 revolutions of the steering wheel. However on the left side, the steering only turns about 1 1/2 revolutions. I am not able to get get a full "lock" on the left hand turn. There is no play or noise in the steering.
Can any one offer an explanation as to what could have gone wrong ? Thanks Last edited by tpmerc; 03-03-2009 at 05:46 PM. |

If you can turn the car completely left to right then maybe your steering wheel is off of center. Check the steering wheel orientation when the wheels are straight front to back.
