Our new 260E.. Issues.. Tail lamp failure etc
 

My son won a pretty reasonable 1987 260E for $710 on Ebay, that he is going to use at a backup car and daily driver..

Working thru the issues it has...
I followed him home, and noticed no tail lamps, but the side marker, blinker and brake lamps working fine.
Took the unit out to check the bulbs and now I have no power to the whole cluster!
Ideas?

Did you turn the rheostat in the cluster...
 

It is a knob on the cluster. Turn it to the right and left a few times...

LOL, not the instrument panel cluster...
I have no power to the plug that supplies voltage to the pass side rear lamp assembly.

Got it!
Stupid me didnt think that the left and right tail lamps would be on seperate fuses!
In fact, the fuse was falling apart!
