My no or very little heat issues on my 90 300se was fixed, is the Monojet valve. I still cant understand, the whole thing looks so innocent and cause so much havoc. Is like 10% of problem causes 90% of headache.
It got to be Fuhrer's revenge. Firstly were the VW, as most if not all the aircool engine will leak some exhaust gas into the heating system. Air pass around the exhaust heater box. Always good when new. Anyways I yanked out my monojet valve, i popped out the C clip , out slide the plastic plunger. Now with the good heat I can roast a chicken. When it was working intermittently right side seem to have much lesser heat than left i think is because of the monoj valve blocks the right side return more than the left side. I do understand MB runs seperate heater cores to left & right side. The hot water pipe comes into center then both exit going to the monoj V. And then u have the idling coolant circulating pump. The diesel 126 have more room to work on as the fire wall has more space. Gassers have computers, test ports that all cramped up the already tight quarters. When things dont work, dont u wish your car is a VeeDub? |
