97 E320 EC lite constantly on
 

Aloha...my EC light is on constantly. Checked my frion, ok. Tried to check the system via the codes. Got something fixed as the AC came on very cold and light was off. After 20 minutes or so EC came back on and the AC stopped again. This has happened 2x's now. Does this sound like a sensor and if so which one....can this be a DIY project? Hot in Hawaii.:eek:

Sounds like a sensor telling the puter to shut the a/c compressor off to me. You will have to narrow it down for better advice on here.

Search through here and read all you can about it to learn to use the tools that are built into the car and get back with us.

I would check the current-sensor values, in particular the refrigerant pressure and the evaporator temperature.
