RPMs Eclasse E500

Hi all,

I would like to know how much RPm is the engine at 55mph ( or 100 km per h).
I never had such a car and new project is to buy the new E class 500 (5.6litres)

In advance thanks for reply.

I'd like to help you but I don't know the answer. Also you didn't say what year, as I'm sure there were changes over the years that could make a difference.

Many many thanks E150GT

Presently I have a 260E from 1988 which RPMs are around 2200 at 100km/hour.

I never had a E500 and my intention is to buy the new E class 500 (5.5litres).

It will be the new model Eclass (W212) just anounced some weeks ago in Detroit if I am right, and now available in Europe (W211 being not available any more).

So I am interested to know the RPM for any latest model by example the W211, or earlier, or New one if anybody has already purchased one of this new model.

You should have included this in your first post, and you might have received an answer right away.

There was an E500 in the W124 chassis, the W211, and the new W212 chassis.

..and you ask two different questions.
100k/h is not 55 mph..it is 62 mph.
..and 55 mph is 88.5 k/h.
