86' 300E PWR Steering Fluid Squirting Out
Hello all,
I've been driving without power steering since the beginning of winter due to a sudden and catastrophic loss of power steering fluid. It just started warming up so I recently dumped some fluid in the reservoir and started it up. Seconds later I watched the fluid flow from the steering box of the car, I immediately hit the deck, stuck my head under the car and tried to locate the leak. It is apparently, and quite literally, squirting savagely from somewhere up top of the steering box then hitting the chassis and dripping down (from underneath the car looking up). I cannot see anything but would I be safe to assume that the coupling end of the high pressure power steering hose failed? I want to fix this soon but I want to buy the right part, maybe someone can confirm where the fluid could be coming from and link me to an ********az part? Thanks ahead of time, you guys have always been a great help in the past!
