Yucky sound from C36 engine

I think my motor is gonna die on me. Besides the normal valve ticking sounds I get this really weird undulating sound coming from the engine bay. Yes I can hear that sound in the driver seat.
I opened up the hood and listen for it. It sounds like one of the pullies or soemthing is warped but upon further listening it's coming from the engine itself

The sound only occurs when I have driven the car and is at normal operating temperatures. It does not occur when I start the car and leave it idling for a bit.

I hope this isn't the end of my motor

Anyone got any ideas?

...sounds like you are concerned enough to get your car to a competent tech for a comprehensive inspection without delay

This forum is a good place to get some tips and suggestions for maintaining and troubleshooting problems of a less imperative nature...

...if you hear sounds that may indicate impending engine damage, then you should not waste time in getting a professional diagnosis.

We are limited in our efforts to offer any assistance, especially since we can't be there to personally "witness" problems as they occur. Digital pics help for static situations, but the interpretation of noises is at best, subjective. What may sound like a bearing going out to you may just be a belt tensioner, for example...or vice versa.

Please do seek a professional immediately...we want you to still have an MB to discuss in this forum...
