I got it!!

I figure out the wiring, and fired it up...ran great. Now I just need to figure out how the water is getting in the oil.
Is the head gasket the most common cause? Or should I look somewhere else 1st?

99.9% of the time its the head gasket. I'd go ahead and replace it.

Well, I may have screwed up.
After I got it running last night....I decided to wash off the engine so it would not be so dirty when I started on the head gasket. Now it will not start. It rolls over and every now and then it fires but it sounds like it is firing at the wrong time, and I get a backfire or the engine jams. I let it sit overnight hoping it would dry out, but is is still doing the same thing this morning.
