I looked in EBay to see if there is such a thing as a tube, but could only find the dipstick. I checked with my local tranny shop and they tell me that there is a tube inside the drain that you "inject" the fluid up through and when it is at the required level it starts to spill back out over the top of that tube. But wouldn't that tube prevent the tranny from emptying? I'm CONFUSED!!!! Thanks again everyone.

I checked the Buy Parts at the top and the SLK 230 should have the tube and cap through 2004 model year.

No idea why you don't see the tube, should be at the back of the motor/in front of the firewall on the right side of the car, might be a bit lower than the top of the engine cover. Can either someone with an SLK get a pic of the trans tube up, or if the poster would like to send a pic of the right side of the engine bay, concentrating on the rear half of the bay??? Possibly is illustrated in the owners manual as well.
