124 Body diffferences
 

Could someone confirm that the only body panel differences between the 94-95 124’s and the pre ’94 cars are the front fenders, hood, lights and body side mouldings.

Specifically I am interested in knowing if wagon doors and the rear hatch fit all years, and all you need to do is remount the trim from the later years when using pre 94 parts.

the only diffrence in the 1995 are the bumpers are shorter front and back , grills are a bit diffrent, no headlight wiper.. that about what i know.

These folks - http://car-part.com/ - are usually pretty good about what interchanges with what, and of course EPC would also have it.

I believe you are correct. From the Hood back they are basically the same, minus body cladding.

Won't affect the OP, but trunk lid on sedan is different too.

The bumpers are different in the rub-strip length, texture, and chrome "boomerang" trim but interchageable between all year 124s.

Fenders and doors are the same, different trim though. I believe that the trim will interchange between '80s and '90s cars (small trim vs cladding).

The rear hatch is different, the plastic lower trim piece with the chrome strip (later / '90-up) attaches to the door differently than the early non-chrome one.

Bumpers interchange across all W124s, which is not saying they are all identical....

Grille and hood are unique, but still interchange.

Headlight wipers are optional on the 94 and 95, and utilize the euro wipers when installed, vice the USA specific shorties. Wipers park to the inside on the 94-95 vice to the outside on the 93 and earlier cars. Headlights also interchange, but the 94-95 has a relief on the upper inside of the lens to accommodate the hood.

Front fenders and the parking lights are the same.

Parking lights are interchangeable, but not the same: The '94/'95 have clear lenses with an amber reflector on the side vs the all-amber US '86-'93 front turn/park lense.
