Rear Window Defroster W124
The rear window of my '93 500E has the defroster with very fine elements. The defroster is not working on 2 sections, 3-4" in height each. In searching the archives, I see others with this problem, and references to "delaminating" rear windows with a milky or cloudy edge. I do in fact have some areas along the edge of the window which are getting cloudy.
The archives don't have any solution, other than a mention of replacing the rear window. Does anyone have any further info on this? The defroster element repair kits will not really work, IMHO, due to the fine, "hairlike" nature of the elements. Rgds, Chris Whitney '93 500E, 42K |

If it really bugs you, window replacement will be on the horizon.
