Exclamation W220 Brake Wear Display

After the initial "Visit Workshop Brake Lining Wear" Message I replaced both front discs, pads and sensors. The manual indicates this warning is a "soft" code and can be cleared by using the "R" button. It clears but comes back on when engine is re-started. Am I missing something

Did you actually see which sensor tripped the warning message? Maybe your car is trying to tell you it needs rear brakes.

No just replaced the front - Rear brakes don't have sensors.

Hmm... My '97 S-class has a rear sensor. I would not be very surprised if the '01 did as well. Two different body styles, I know, but it still might be worth a look.

I pulled the L rear wheel off Sunday - but didn't see one. Or is it my Murphy's luck there is 1 sensor and it's on the R side
