1990 300 te 4matic supsension valve

I have a 1990 300 te 4 matic , and the rear suspension has a leak ?My technician informs me that it is the suspension valve is leaking .
I am looking into a replacement parts and the MB dealer has one @ $650 CAD... I am hoping to source a used part .
I was hoping to query the forum here to see if anyone knows if the suspension valve is a common between the 300 te base model, and the 4 matics?? I have reviewed a few parts websites and notice the same part #s for both models, as well as the 560 se models...?
Any type of confirmation as to if they can be interchanges will save me lots .. .i can get a used 300 te wagon complete for the price of a new valve!
I am hoping to keep this car goin... as i have divulged TOO MUCH $$$$ to scrap this car...please help!

It is very likely that it is the same part.

The rear end of a 4Matic is the same as a RWD only car.

what models come wiith self levelling suspension?

I thank you for the reply, is there anyone who knows what models are equipped with the self leveling hydraulic suspension?

Or maybe if the valve is rebuildable?

I am working on aquiring the part #...but my MB dealer parts # starts with a 202 pn#....yet the valve part # which i have found through a body shop ...starts with a 123... part #....seems odd?
So i cannot confirm if they can even be crossed referenced?
Are any more opinions? ADVIICE?

thanks again....

Have you searched Fastlane... I am pretty sure they would have one.

Have it shipped to someplace just across the border (if you are close like i am) and go pick it up.

The SLS valve on the 124 is not rebuildable, even though it has the 123 part number. I bet yours is the same as the 2wd cars.

See if Roy has a used one for your car. http://www.peachparts.com/shopforum/showthread.php?t=178906
