New Climate control problem 88 W124

Searched the forums but nothing exactly like this, 88 300E 150k .the fan blower cuts out intermitently. It does not matter if the ac or heat is on or economy.Sometimes you can shut off the ign and turn the car back on and it will start to work. Looking at the other posts I figured it was the cc unit ,so I took it apart and found no burns or bad/cold solder joints. So unit looks good. Could the relay or the fan resistor cause an intermittent problem? If a fuse or fuseable link was bad I would imagine it would be totaly dead.Same with the fan motor itself when they go bad I would think thats it nothing?? Any sugestions would help I hate throwing parts at stuff like this:confused:

It sounds like...

the brushes in the fan motor are too short or not making contact. Since you already checked the cc unit, you have to remove the blower and look. There is a DIY link under resources on top of this page.

Thanx , I will tear it apart. it will either be the brushes or the blower regulator. I heard they were a big problem. They are all in the same area anyway.
