Why is it you want a Mercedes chassis, then?

Mercedes engines are awesome. I'd never want some Toyota job under my hood. Yuck.

You probably won't find much help here on that topic.

Sounds stupid

I know, I know, that is kind of blunt, but it really sounds stupid to me. What part of an engine is cheaper in a meaningful way on a Toyota. Now don't quote me pistons, or a cam or crank. Most people will never replace them, and MB quality costs money. Belts, plugs, waterpump, voltage regulator, VC gaskets, battery, fuses, radiator cap are all about the same. Maybe you are worried about the cost of Mercedes Benz Antifreeze. Hey, then just don't tell any of us and just use the green stuff.

I went from a 4cylinder gas toyota to a 6 cylinder gas mercedes, they are worlds apart in power, refinement, smoothness......the toyota is quite primitive in comparison.

Some folks in the far east have done this and think it's great. IIRC - the Philippines??

Some Toyota engines might be acceptable. A DOHC with a turbo?? They can be smooth and quiet, plus I've heard that getting 500 HP out of a Toyota straight six is possible.

This will be a LOT of work to perform. It most definitely won't be a bolt-in swap. You'll need to fabricate all the mounting hardware for the engine and tranny, make a custom drive shaft, customize the fuel delivery system, then there's the fun of removing all the MB engine wiring and putting the Toyota wiring into the Benz.

I'm the one putting a Z06 LS6 engine into my 560SEC and it, as I've stated, is a LOT of work. :-)

It would probably be easier to locate a used M103 + manual and bolt all that in than it would be to convert to a toyota setup. Not to mention most toyotas are front wheel drive engine/trans setups....so that narrows the engine possibilities down to units from SUV's or trucks....perhaps not even that.

why i want mercedes chassis????? ah good question, cause i believe there is no car with better style than '90s benz, w126, w124, etc i LOVE w124, its styling its terrefic, never gets old to me

wow guys, what you guys think powers supra? sc300, gs300, etc, toyota inline 6, code named Jz, capable of making 1000hp on stock block, bullet proof work horses, and very cheap to get your hand on and get parts,

on a benz god forbid anything goes wrong, youre out of good penny

also not even about financial issue but i am looking to go for more power, mount turbo and mate a 6 speeder, fastest w124 anyone????

also car i am gonna keep as stock as possible, exterior and interior wise, i am not fan of big spoilers and body kits, unless authentic amg comes in hand,

right now i allready have few cars i am messing with, but times comes shell be rolling soon,
