# of fuel pumps for a 90 300 sel

I have a question and i would really appreciate a quick answer from someone who is familair with this area. My car was diagnosed as having a faulty fuel pump. It is a 90 300 sel with the 3.0 inline six, 103.981 engine#. I would like to know if my car has two fuel pumps or just one. thanks. I tried to get a hold of my tech and he is out now. I am about to order one and a fast response would facilitate that process. Thanks again all. Be well!

Your car has one fuel pump. It's located at the rear, just to the left of the right rear tire.
The pump and filter and housed in a plastic shroud held on by 3 bolts. I believe a 10mm socket gets these bolts off. Afterwards you have access to this area.

It helps to back the car up on ramps to allow more room to crawl underneath if you're are going to DIY this yourself.
