Anyone rebuilt motor on radiator cooling fan 1996 W210 M104 ?
Or found the cheapest source? I'll call Phil after I get it off and find a PN.
TIA, Tom |
Phil found me a new motor when mine went south (W220) (thank God) That saved me about $700. The bearing was the culprit in mine - yet to hunt a bearing.

Who made those anyway, are they Papst fans? I wonder if parts are obtainable from Papst, they're a pretty remarkable company as far as spare parts are concerned......

Here's a quest for the adventurous...
[even though it's on the W123,Bearing is Bearings and that's what invariably goes bad] credit to member: TomJ http://www.peachparts.com/shopforum/mercedes-benz-used-parts-sale-wanted/98493-bosch-aux-fan-new-bearing-rebuilt-123-body.html?highlight=Bosch+Aux+Fan+-New+Bearing%2FRebuilt+-123+Body Exemplar picture: |
Unfortunately, the motor in the 210 auxiliary fan is not serviceable. The bearing went out in mine too, and I also got a new motor. Also from Phil. I recommend a new belt to go with it.
