Brake Caliper W124 Question... Cardone vs. New ATE
Are the Cardone "remanufactured" brake calipers OEM ATE calipers that have been rebuilt, or, some other brand? (1994 E320 Sedan).
Anyone have a right rear caliper in good working condtion that they would like to trade / sell? Thanks. Jeff |
if you check parts numbers..i have one from a 1988 300e
i bought a reman caliper from cardone. it was an original brand, and works very well. I think I paid 90 dollars for it.
I'll let you know how it works out. I just bought one from ******** for $62.00.. cheap.
I bought the rear set for my E420. I think it was 85.00 for both rear calipers and they came in loaded with the brake pads. The prices at ******** are amazing. They were both ATE reman.
I also bought a set of reman'd calipers from ******** awhile back for my 380SE and was very pleased. They were cheap, looked good as new when they showed up, and worked fine.
It's really hard to beat Rock's prices on brake parts. Calipers, pads, etc., they are usually much cheaper than everyone else. |
I use lots of A1 Cardone stuff, works nice.
i also use cardone stuff with never any problems.
It was an OEM brake caliper.. inexpensive, and seems like a good rebuild. Good experience!

I was facing this recently for rear calipers on my W126....I went with "NuGeon" rebuilt calipers from online.....it will work out to be $30 cheaper than the Cardones at autozone.....it would appear that "NuGeon" is located in California....so its a good USA rebuild....we'll see how good they are, I should be putting them in within a week.
