in Canada they are selling this R12A product to public, it comes with its own gauge and lube and stuff. The package says it "meets or exceeds factory requirement of vehicles operating with R12 refrigerant". I used a bit of that and it worked perfect for me.

Since R12 is completely banned from Canada, this turned out to be very viable stuff. It's also freon-free so you tree huggers don't have to worry about a thing. Kit comes with a pressure gauge.

That looks interesting. I wish they sold it in my local stores.

I am going to have someone do it. I tried to plug it in and it was escaping as I was trying to connnect it. Not sure if I know what I am doing with the R12.

I don't know if I just need to be a little quicker on the draw or what. When I did it with and R134 system I just plugged it in and pulled the trigger.

The r12 is in cans and has a hose with a penetrating needle to release the contents of the bottle. I am using a bottle I previously opened.

I am connecting it to the large diameter pipe inside of the engine compartment, not the fitting that protrudes out the front of the car.

Let me know if I you have any suggestions.
