Merc 260E Bouncy Suspension
Hi there, I have just bought a Merc 260E 1990 model with hydraulic rear suspension, it bounces around on the road (it's very hard) someone told me it could the the rear spheres, the regulator valve, I don't know what you think but I'd appreciate any help you can give me or if you can advise me on how to diagnose the problem.
Thank you Dave Hattingh |

I'm not familiar with that model but in general a stiff hydropneumatic suspension indicates bad nitrogen spheres. There's one for each side in the rear. I'm not sure what they cost but in some cases they can be repaired.
Do a search on nitrogen spheres for more information. Sixto 91 300SE 81 300SD |
