what size bolts for m103 intake & exhaust manifolds
I need the to know what size bolts (or are they studs) are used for my 1989 300 TE with the M103 in it. It seems that the intake and exhaust manifolds bolts (studs) are not for sale when I go to different Mercedes parts sites.
also, does anyone have any suggestions on what material they should be, I think I recall on person saying he used stainless studs and brass nuts. any info would really be appreciated. thank you |

They are studs I am pretty sure....
And check your local dealer, they will have them/be able to order them for you. Even if they have to come from a deep dark warehouse in Sindelfingen!

I'm not sure of anything anymore.......... 15 years ago I was sure of everything. I could have sworn I read that someone used stainless studs and am less sure on the nuts but when I was searching for all of this info I had been without sleep for a while and reading page after page of rebuild info so everything is a blur. pawoSD, thanks for the info, I was hoping to get them from somewhere other then the dealership since I don't like the feeling of being violated over the price of studs and nuts.............but if that's what I gotta do.... |
