300te heater core? How do I know...

1989 300te. How do I know if my heater core is leaking? I smell a faint antifreeze smell in the cabin...the antifreeze level is steady. Not wet under the mats. Drips on the driveway, but not green or slimey...

When I had that same problem, it was due to the core freeze plug leaking on the engine block. The smell would come from the engine bay to the cabin. Check all around your engine for coolant leaks. Just hope that you do find this...otherwise the heater core is a real pain to remove and prepare for a whole days work gutting the interior.
