'95 S280: how to check the fuel pump electricals?
My gray market '95 S280 all of a sudden won't start and I checked fuel pressure which is at 0 and I don't hear the fuel pump coming on when I turn the key. Where would the fuse and relay be? I have the WIS on my computer but can't find the wiring diagrams. What section would they be in?
Give the OVP a few taps.....
Is that a tall relay with a fuse on top? Where would I find it under the hood?
And does this car even have an OVP valve?
I think we went through this a while back and you found that the Alarm immobilizer was a problem and that there was no OVP on that model
I have NO info on S280 at all.... |
S280 is just a S320 less .4 liters.
Yeah,,,I know that.
But I don't know if it uses a Base Module or an OVP. US E320 uses OVP, S uses BM.. and Euro I have no idea. So, check for both ... |
Looks like the fuel pump is bad. I put 12V and ground directly to the terminals with a jump box and it just made a faint buzz sound. Fuel presure gauge didn't move. What should I replace it with? Pierburg, Bosch, this one on Ebay:
