W126 hood emblem positioning
 

Kinda crazy question, (but I am bored :)) but does anyone know what the exact factory position is for the hood emblem on the W126? It seems to vary from Mercedes to Mercedes. The W140, the "stars" on most seem to tilt back, I guess because of the more sloping hood, but the W126s seem more vertical, but I have seen some tilted back some. Out of curiosity, I was wondering if anyone knew how they were set from the factory?

i have mine like in your picture. I guess its anyway you want. You own it!

Thats probably about right then, because I have seen most like that. I was just wondering if thats how they were when new. Sometimes they get knocked around and stuff you know.

Angle of the star parallels the angle of the grill.
