Need battery size info
 

Can someone provide battery size info for '92 300TE 4matic. Battery is not holding a charge and I want to buy a new one but I am 85 miles away from the car right now. Want to buy here and take it to the car to install. Thanks.

A group 48 is specified for gasoline 124 cars. Diesels take a group 49 - same height & width, but longer. Believe a 49 will fit just fine.

The best battery out there for this car is an Optima 800R aka "orange top." It's probably also the most expensive. Physically smaller than either the group 48/49 but at least as powerful. Completely sealed & maintenance free. Great for forgetful people like me, and won't corrode away your battery tray and firewall.
