Codes read at the dealer

The E420 has the "Check Engine Light" on.

This weekend I had the codes read at a Mercedes Dealer, while at an outing with the Greater Washington (DC) Section, GWS, of the Mercedes Benz Club of America.

The Mercedes Technician, at the dealer, was helpful, but ended the day by asking me to come back for a 'more thorough' review of the system.

Before I go back to the dealer and pay- do you have a thought? Thanks for the help

I'm told BM stands for Base Modular.

Are there folks that sell rebuilt Base Modular - I'm figuring new would go for $1,000.

the failing codes were:
DM
MB Number 015 545 13 32
Diagnostic Version 0/02

017 CAN: Data Exchange
-> LH1-SFI-DI1,EA
-> ASR, ABS

EA
MB Number: 124 545 40 32
Diagnostic Version 0/02
160 Engine Speed Signal
TNA from BM N16/1
I've attached the summary sheet, for your review.

Well, Before buying anything , I would be checking the fuses in the Base Module if I had a Data Exchange code from the DM.

Thanks for the suggestion - Fuses were checked

When the tech saw BM codes - he immediately looked for water in the control box and the state of the fuses.

All fuses a OK.

Good suggestion, something I failed to report - good for others to consider with their cars.
