215 Rear SAM Renewal & Inoperative Fuel Level Gauge
'02 CL 500 - rear SAM failed following exposure to water. SAM and fuse board was renewed, with everything functional again, except fuel level gauge... gauge read 3/4 full when tank was actually empty.
Insurance authorized renewal of the fuel level sender... but no change in accuracy was noted following renewal. Now, two days following sender renewal, fuel gauge suddenly went to "empty" following fillup. Any idea as to what the problem might be? IC has been updated, under recall and all fuses appear to be intact. Thanks. |

The rear SAM must be programmed to the type of fuel tank unit installed.
There are 2 different type senders. Coding required w/scanner.
