380sl
My dad has a nice 83 380sl that been sitting in storage for over 3 years. It ran well prior to that but it has not been started since it's been stored. The battery is dead and the gas is old, so our first thoughts were to drain out the old gas and replace the battery and see if it will start.
Any other suggestions on how to get it running again?

I would change the oil and filter, and change the fuel filter while you have the tank drained. Before you start it, pull the fuel pump relay out and crank the engine in ten second bursts until you have oil pressure. Then put the relay back in and start the car.

For only 3 years, i wouldnt worry too much. Charge or replace the battery and turn the key.
