Locked Ignition 2000 E320 4Matic wagon
About 3wks ago the ignition key would not turn. Finally after moving the steering wheel, the directional lever, bright light lever...the key turned/engine started. Next day same problem, but unable to turn key. Battery died. Connected a booster & after the above maneuvers, key turned. Seemed I needed to 'pull' on the bright light lever to activate the ignition lock. Replaced the car and the key batteries. As long as I moved the light lever, the key would turn. Now, am unable to turn key/unlock ignition. New battery is pulling to the positive. Please help!! ama

That can be a difficult problem, even for a "good" tech.
Most likely will require attention from a MB tech with a MB scanner.
