'03 CLK 320 Soft Top Functional but Fault Indicated
 

Soft top is fully functional but activation button flashes and adubilizes for 10 seconds when moving from standstill, indicating that top is not fully locked. Also, center console trunk deck lid release button is not functional nor is remote trunk deck lid release operative.

Don't have access to SDS... do these symptoms point to a frequently defective component? Deck lid release switch? Thanks.

Either the micor-switch on the front latch or the one on the rear latch.

If the top is stowed does tha light still flash?
