2000 s500 audio cuts out
 

The audio system on my S500 cuts off and on and then, off entirely. The only way to get it back on is to restart the car. The dealer installed new 2001 command center and still have the problem. The problem comes and goes. Dealer is baffled. Any ideas? Thanks.

Did you ever find the solution? I have a 2000 S500 that is having a similiar problem. My audio cuts out, then the phone, and then it says no CD changer. The radio still opeates, just no audio...

I still have the problem in the summer. I live in Phoenix. I think it's the amplifyer overheating. I love the car but so many little electronic problems. Good luck.
