Not a resistor, but a Regulator that is used as a switched ground.

You will notice that they recommend changing both the reg and motor as a unit on that model b/c they had problems and modified the parts. That can be quite expensive , so if you look in the Archieves you will find that a 140 regulator can be adapted to fit your chassis with a substantial $$$ savings IF your motor is still in good shape.

Yours is a 99 which is on the cutoff for the regulator being replaceable as a separate part. PAY close attention to chassis cut off numbers on the parts page to confirm.

The reg and blower motor is located above the passenger side knee space. Couple of panels to remove then pull the blower motor and squirrel cage fan as a unit, etc. Not difficult.

If the blower is intermittent, check the motor for dead spots on the brushes first before spending $200 on the regulator.
