Im really missing something here? no tilt?

Am I to understand that this car (87 300SDL) has the electronic telescoping columb, memory eats with electric headrests and the digital buttwiper, headlight wipers and climate control... but no tilt wheel?
The owners manual says nothing and I can see no way at all but I cannot believe there is no way to adjust the wheel for height. Is there no tilt in these cars...reeeeally?

You are correct. no tilt.

Adjust the seat up or down, I guess.

I'll learn to live with no tilt, the adjustment is pretty close as is. I guess when I get ready to swap out the seats I'll have to make sure I can keep the ability to move the seats up/down.

I plan to swap out the seats with anything from the boneyard that can be mated to the seat power assembly and hopefuly look somewhat correct. No tilt is ok with seat adjustability. Im in love with this car but Im so upside down in it already that I cant justify the cost of rebuilding the MB seats for any reason short of loosing up/down adjustability.

I'm 6'7" and it took me forever to get used to the lack of tilt. It was eventually solved by seat position, but it has me closer to the wheel than I normally like to be. Still, there is ample enough leg room and my arms aren't going numb from being stretched out. Still, I wish that had put tilt in there. I'll bet the lack of tilt has something to do with optimal airbag deployment angle, but that's just a guess.

I've never really cared for tilt anyway. I prefer a telescoping wheel, especially in a car with very adjustable seats. Even an old, stripped down 123 car had a seat that could be raised vertically if you knew how to do it.

I have an American car that has a tilt, and I would trade the tilt and a couple of hundred bucks for a telescoping wheel, and it also has very adjustable seats.
