grill hood latch pull handle
 

Hello out there!
(90' 420 SEL) I went out this morning to add oil to my car, as usual every two or three weeks, and the little plastic pull handle that sticks out of the front grill was broken off. I used a metal hook to grab what was left and did get a hold of it but when I pulled nothing happened. The latch wouldn't pop.

Hood release
 

First confirm you pulled on the lever under the light switch to get the hood to pop up a little. Right? Then if you grabbed onto the remainder of the hood release and nothing happened, fashion a wire coat hanger into a hook, using a flash light if necessary to see into the dark, reach in and tug on the hood hook near the opening the hood release usually sticks out.
If that works, I can help you with a replacement hood release handle. My Ebay item # 370238836645.
