removed and reinstall 300E fuel injectors

I have just removed and reinstall my My mercedes 300E fuel injector. My problem is that the engine starts but goes off again after starting. Always too much fuel pumps into the burning chambers. Why this problem and what do i do to reduce the fuiel flow? faminuelliot registered member.

what does a 300E have to do with the diesel discussion???

Does it do it when the engine is hot or cold ?

I would start looking at the fuel distributor and everything attached to it since that controls how much fuel goes to each of the injectors

cliffmac 08-12-2009 09:52 PM

you said 300E right? that would be gas...what?

cliffmac 08-12-2009 09:54 PM

obviously these people that feel a 300E is a diesel are idiots...forget about them....

cliffmac 08-12-2009 09:59 PM

there are several ways to address this once you eliminate the morons....really...

I know, just throwing some more info out there that's readily accessible.

My first question is why you removed and reinstalled the injectors ?

Secondly, did you install new injector seals ?

Third, how did you conclude that "too much fuel pumps into the burning chambers" ?

Possible that you aren't maintaining the speed signal which in turn shuts down the fuel pumps and the engine ?

Thats the problem with "online diagnosis". you are only speculating as to what could be causing the problem. Without having the car in front of you kinda hard to pinpoint whats wrong

Clearly ANY liquid compressed through a small hole can prove abrasive in the long run.

Reason for reinstalling the old worn out injectors was not given, but it is quite common for them to cause flooding and therefore warm start problems.

A bit of a test is the typical start-flooded-engine drill, i.e. crank with throttle opened some to provide more air.
