Having trouble fitting some Bilstein front struts to my E500 (blown air-springs...)

Condition: Shock thread is sitting way too high through the upper mount. Cant close hood.

Currently thinking my problem lies with the fact that I'm using E280 upper mounts, but E320 Bilstein shocks with H&R springs.

Is anybody able to tell me if there is a height difference within the mount itself between E320 and E280, before I order some parts?

Any words of wisdom would be much appreciated!!
