Combination of P0133 and P0341 Codes
Car is '97 E320. Three times in recent weeks CEL has popped on. When I pull codes, I get P0133 (O2 sensor slow response) and P0341 (crankshaft position sensor). I clear the codes and they come back as a pair a few days later. Car runs fine but seems to be a little slow on starting sometimes. Does anybody know how these codes can be related? My inclination is to replace the O2 sensor first.

I would start with the cam sensor.
It's only job is to synchronize the injectors to camshaft position, very crutial to starting the engine. |
Thanks M.B. Doc ...
How tricky is it to get the clearance on the sensor correct and how do I do it?

About 99% of the time it is bolt on & go...........

Thanks, M.B. Doc ...
I'll have at it.

Replaced CSP sensor today ....
was an easy job acomplished with a 3/16 hex wrench. Really needed a 5mm but couldn't find my metric set. Car seems to start more readily. Cleared the diagnostic codes so we shall see what happens now.
