420 SEL overfilled tranny fluid
I recently checked my tranny level, and it is way above the full line when hot.
I think I overfilled it myself. What would be the performance symptoms of an overfilled tranny? And how can I remedy the situation? Thanks. |

GET IT OUT!!
Either suck it out (via topsider or similar pump device), or drain some of the fluid.
I have heard that overfilling the transmission can have some seriously negative effects, one being gasket failure! Get some out ASAP. Do a SEARCH too though to make sure that you are reading the dipstick properly... it's much more technical than you'd think GOOD LUCK!!
